Any idea what the windowless brick building a little further up and across Martinet Road is? Its very heavily built and looks a bit like a bunker or something. Great site by the way, you’re doing a fantastic job recording the area’s heritage
I used to work in one of the old hangars for a while when it was Nesham of tee-sides truck workshop,early 1970’s , close to Hintons (I think) Then I spent some time in this area in the light vehicle workshop, we used to call it the old coca cola factory . Im not sure if its the same building as it was really run down in those days

I didn’t spot that one yesterday, but from the description I think its the electricity sub-station for the aerodrome.
This Google Earth overlay calls it that.
