St Marys was built in 1953 and was only open until 1978 as most of Warrenby was depopulated and demolished by 1983.
Surprisingly even in the 1970s many houses here were without electricity, a bathroom or inside toilets.
The building is currently in use as a car repair workshop.
Remember going through Warrenby to .south Gare, busy place in the 1960s. All the houses occupied and the pub open. The road went through the steel works too. Christine Clark
