This anchors stands outside the British Sub Aqua Club Hut at South Gare
Presumably it was recovered locally by the club, but i’ve been unable to find out exactly where from. Suggestion welcome as always

My father (Peter Hanley) found this anchor while diving in approx 1976 with the club. Found just off the Gare to the beach side.. approx 300 yards offshore.
He found 3 anchors on this dive.
One of the anchors was a admiralty pattern, about 3 foot long.
He also found a danforth, about 6 foot tall. from a drill rig. they gave it back to the owners.
Funny story…. Someone said his brother Bernard couldn’t go on the boat.. so he ended up having a fight (fisticuffs) with the boat master on the jetty, in his rubber dive suit.
Bernard did end up going hahaha
