It’s nearly been a year since I last spotted a ‘new’ stench pipe in Redcar, so its quite unusual that this one is somewhere i’ve driven past every morning since 2008.
Its identical to the one at the other corner of the park, but has lost its upper section and been filled with concrete.

Have a look behind the old school on Tod Point rd, Warrenby–there’s one there.
There’s another in plain view on Park Ave Redcar on lime rd junction opposite the sports injury clinic. I thought it to be an old cast lamppost until I asked Vera Robinson, Redcar historian about it. I was surprised.
That one of the ones that originally put me onto them.
