I have been totally unable to find any information on what this plaque at Sawdon relates to.
It looks very modern, but gives no detailed dates on names for the events it mentions. Just “Susan”
Can anyone shed any light on it ?

I think the plaque refers to the tragic case of Susan May who died recently and was never cleared of a murder charge that most people outside of the legal system felt very unsafe.. She spent many years in a prison near York
If the trial was held in camera as the plaque seems to infer there is no way can the names of anyone involved be published .also court restrictions could be a100 years on publishing so everyone is dead and burried so not much hope unless the authors bite the bullet and fight an unjust system.

It doesn’t seem to fit with the Susan May case. This plaque is talking about a theft of gold and 25 others being involved.
I too am struggling to find any info on this subject. Ive been looking fir answers since 2009
